Electronic Cigarette

Whenever someone is against a particular product one of the best ways to eliminate its use is to tarnish the perception of it. The electronic cigarette has been under constant attack from several organizations. Some of the negative messages they are spreading are extremely harmful and most of them are completely untrue. These messages are intended to scare people into not using the product, do not fall for any of them.

So what are some of these negative messages you should be looking out for?

Electronic cigarettes potentially containing anti-freeze

This is a negative message that was used because of a scientific report by the FDA. This research was performed on two makers of electronic cigarettes. One sample found about 1% of diethylene glycol, which is used in anti-freeze.  These studies are biased because these particular companies were using a form of diethylene glycol that is not food grade, but the majority of electronic cigarette makers do.

The FDA is trying to completely eliminate the use of electronic cigarettes because they are believed to be dangerous

This is another false message delivered by certain organizations in order to make people believe there is merit to the claims they are making. The truth is that the FDA wants to control electronic cigarettes. The FDA wants to have them classified as a drug and then have them tested by various pharmaceutical companies in order to prove they are not dangerous.

The problem is that many electronic cigarette makers would have to pay hefty fees in order to have the necessary testing done, which would of course severely impact if not shut down many makers of the electronic cigarette.

You have to ask yourself one question before making any decision about using the electronic cigarette. You must ask yourself which one is more dangerous, traditional tobacco cigarettes or a cigarette designed to eliminate many of the harmful chemicals that are already proven to cause cancer.
